What many forget is the actor who played him, Dolph Lundgrena Swedish-born man who has spent years as an actor, director, model and martial artist.
He is most likely remembered for his many different film roles, although he never received much recognition, as he remained active for many years, playing the Russian antagonist in American films.
Probably his most notable role after the movie Rocky IV was when he returned to the series in Creed II.

He reprized his role as Ivan Drago, once again becoming Rocky’s rival, but this time from a corner with his son.
What many don’t know is that during all this time Lundgren has received some very distinguished awards in the field of science.
During his life he made many achievements in the field of chemical engineering, receiving all kinds of scholarships and doctorate degrees at some of the most prominent universities and academies in the United States and Australia.
Plus, although he says he doesn’t practice much, he’s multilingual, and can speak Swedish, English, German, French, Spanish and some Japanese.
Today he is Dan’s sixth black belt in Kyokushinkai style karate, although he does not participate regularly.
He is still a very active person, largely connected with the world of sports and martial arts.
He often shares on Instagram photos of his training sessions and appearances like he was recently at the San Diego Comicon, for example.
He was also present at the premiere of “Minions – The Rise of Gru”, which showed that he is still very much involved in the world of martial arts and cinema.
