Since Daniel Craig stepped down from the role of James Bond after No Time To Die, the search for a new 007 has begun.
The official announcement will likely be made next year, but until then, Bond odds are fans’ best bet for where 007 Chiefs might be looking.
In recent weeks, Idris Elba has taken the lead in betting, shocking fans around the world. But things are about to change.
Tom Hardy has been a favorite of Bond prospects for years.
He started being included in the bets after it was reported that he had previously been secretly chosen as a behind-the-scenes character.
These rumors have not been confirmed, but they have sparked a strong interest in Hardy becoming Craig’s replacement.
Now, the Ladbrokes has cut the star’s eccentricity in a surprising twist, putting him on the track to reclaim his top spot.
Ladbrokes give Hardy an incredible 5/1 when he becomes the next Bond.
Previously, he sat in fifth by a slim 7/1, behind Marvel star Chiwetel Ejiofor with 6/1.
“Tom Hardy has always been associated with the 007 party and the bookies are once again convinced that Bond bosses see him as the man to replace Daniel Craig, forcing us to scale back his odds at the weekend,” said company affiliate Alex Abate.
Fans had hoped Hardy would talk about the idea of becoming the new Bond – but he’s already made it clear he won’t.

Page previously said his Bond race placement is a “badge of merit” rather than a real possibility.
He has only two names left in the race. And they are big names.
Henry Cavill, who played both Superman and Geralt of Rivia on Netflix’s The Witcher, is currently second in the pot.
Cavill has an incredible 4/1, which puts him in second place for this role.
But the frontrunner came out of nowhere: Elba.
Elba has been a frequent suggestion to become Bond for years.
He’s even addressed rumors in recent years about him becoming the champ, but they haven’t been good comments. He said he was “happy with Luther” instead of going into the 007 series.
But recently, Bond bosses claimed he was “part of the conversation” in a future Bond series.
And with an amazing 7/2 taking on the role, he could stand a chance.
