PlayStation has teased that there will be some surprise shows in store later this week at EVO 2022. For the first time since 2019, EVO is set to return as a personal tournament in Las Vegas. And while many fans might be excited to see tournaments for games like Street Fighter 5And the Mortal Kombat 11And the Dragonball FighterZIt appears that some new announcements separate from the tournaments may also appear at the event.

Specifically, it was revealed that PlayStation will be holding a live stream on August 5th and 6th that will deliver “exciting and revealing content” from a number of different video game publishers. While it hasn’t been determined what this reveal could be linked to, some notable news could come from the Evo.
PlayStation said of this: “PlayStation will celebrate the return of Evo with PlayStation Tournaments: Evo Lounge, a live show dedicated to covering all the exciting competition events and content. The show hosts players and commentators who live and breathe FGC.” next event. “The Evo Lounge will feature curated shelf coverage, shelf-level updates, interviews with players, exciting content and reveal from developers and publishers, such as Arc System Works, Warner Bros. Viewers will be treated to the latest news regarding our favorite games and some sneak peeks of what lies ahead.”
