We’ve already seen several Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 leaks ahead of the phones expected launch this month, and now we’ve got a pretty good idea of what accessories might be available for them as well.
That’s thanks SamMobile (Opens in a new tab)which discovered a bunch of cases made by Samsung and screen protectors (Opens in a new tab) Samsung’s next-generation foldable devices are posted on the German website of European retailer Galaxus, along with their prices in euros. And while we can’t confirm that these images are original, they certainly look official – so presumably Galaxus sent these pages prematurely right before the Samsung Unpacked event on August 10.
The most interesting accessory is the new carry case for the Galaxy Z Fold 4. That’s €43 ($44 / £36)”Slim Standing Cover (Opens in a new tab)“It appears to let you prop the Z Fold 4 open using a two-part back cover, similar to the leather stand cover Samsung sells for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. There’s also a thin bumper around the edge of the rest of the phone, though it doesn’t look like it’s going to save much. of protection in the event of a fall.
Meanwhile, the Z Flip 4 appears to be getting very similar case options to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. That includes €72 ($73 / £60)”foldable leather cover (Opens in a new tab)‘Purple or pink box, €28 ($28 / £23)’transparent lid with ring (Opens in a new tab)“.
As evident from the images above, and previous render leaks, there are no major design changes to look for in either the new Z Fold or the Z Flip. Thankfully, Samsung still has to make some changes in store – rumors suggest that both phones will get the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, while the Z Fold 4 will also have a slimmer hinge. In terms of pricing, the last we heard is that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will cost you the same as the Z Fold 3, which means it will cost you $1800, while the Z Flip 4 is likely to be a bit more expensive than the Z Flip 3.
We’ll likely find out if any or all of the leaks are true at next week’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung was hinting at new foldables at the event, but we could also see the rumored Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds Pro 2 debuts.
