Sasha Banks and Naomi are back in WWE, according to a new report from WrestlingNews.co. The outlet claims that “a deal has been reached for Sasha Banks and Naomi to return to the company. There is a belief behind the scenes that we may see them return on The Tonight Show or in the near future under the Triple H regime.” The couple chose to walk out on an episode of Monday Night Raw in late May due to disagreements with booking and were immediately suspended, stripped of their women’s tag team championships and repeatedly reprimanded by TV commentators. The pair have since remained silent about their status with the company, but reports that they were awarded their releases have surfaced repeatedly (although they have not been removed from WWE.com’s official roster).
With Paul Levesque now overseeing WWE’s creative team and talent relationships, it’s possible that he was able to mend the bridge between WWE and the former champions. It also looks like WWE has started dropping hints about their comeback by mentioning both ends in a Tweet that Raw tonight. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
