Outfieler player Ian Happ expressed his feelings after not being traded by the Chicago Cubs with a GIF of Wolf of Wall Street.
The Chicago Cubs were expected to move on from two big players on this year’s MLB trade deadline – Willson Contreras and Ian Happ. The two embraced the team’s final home game before the trade deadline, and a trade appeared to be looming. Instead, the players ended up staying with the team.
Hap, let’s just see, was glad he wasn’t assigned to a new team. If you need any proof, take a look at the GIF I used from the movie wolf of wall street.

“I’m not leaving. Show continues!” Hap was probably telling himself when he tweeted this GIF of Leonardo DiCaprio screaming into a microphone while playing Jordan Belfort in the critically acclaimed 2013 film.
Hub had a fair share of trade deadline suitors, including the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers. However, the Cubs did not receive an offer that they considered appropriate and decided to keep Hap and Contreras.
With Haup, he is under contract until the 2023 season before becoming a free agent. This season, Habb has cut 0.279/.360/.436 while scoring 9 home runs, 46 RBIs, and 100 hits in 99 games that entered Tuesday’s trade deadline. He was named to the MLB All-Star Game this season for his efforts.
As it turns out, the last game at Cubs Stadium before the trade deadline wasn’t the last for either Happ or Contreras. Instead, they will play with the team for the remainder of the season.
