A new trailer for the second season of Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro, has premiered, confirming its January 2023 release.
Season 5 of My Hero Academia may have dominated the spring 2021 anime slate and debuted the Tokyo Revengers, but there were plenty of popular series battling to get your attention.
One of those series was Don’t Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro, which started dubiously but has evolved into one of the funniest and most interesting rom-coms on the entire list.
Now, over a year later, a brand-new season 2 trailer for When You Don’t Play With Me, Miss Nagatoro is finally back for more Senpai charts — here’s everything you need to know.
Don’t play with me, Season 2 of Miss Nagatoro was always taken for granted
Don’t Toy With Me fans were delighted Miss Nagatoro when she heard in October of last year that the animated series had already been renewed for a second season.
The announcement was made by the ‘Official Japanese Series’ Twitter pagewith a brief post accompanying the ad image, see below.
“Do not play with # 長 瀞 さ ん Television animation second production decision! The second season of the TV animation has been scheduled. While the news of the renewal was welcomed, many fans weren’t surprised by a second semester with senpai thanks to the series’ popularity and availability of source material.
Despite some early criticism, the series went on to become one of the most popular anime on the Spring 2021 list, scoring 7.3/10 days ago. IMDB72% on anilist3.8/5 in Anime Planet7.37/10 with over 348,000 reviews on Anime list.

However, fans will be happy to know that as of August 2022, the total will be 13 Sizes It was published in Japan and the series is still listed as ongoing – which means there should be plenty of material available for a third attack.
When will Miss Nagatoro Season 2 be released?
Earlier today, August 6, a special live broadcast was made on the King Amusement Creative YouTube channel, showing the new channel tractor In Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro Season 2 has been shared.
As part of the trailer, it was confirmed that the anime will return in January 2023.

Unfortunately, neither a more specific release date nor the number of episodes has been shared as part of the new trailer. However, fans can expect 12 more episodes of the anime to air either on Saturday, January 7, or January 14 – depending on the series’ first season.
The following voice cast has also been confirmed to reprise their roles in Season 2, titled “Second Attack!”

However, the animation studio taking the helm will change from Telecom Animation Film to Studio OLM – the team behind the likes of Summer Time Render, Komi Can’t Communicate and Odd Taxi.
Where do you read the original manga series?
As mentioned earlier, Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro has released a total of 13 manga volumes, and the 14th edition is slated to release on August 9.
The English version is a little behind the local sequence, with 11 of these volumes currently available for international audiences.
