More details on AEW Fight Forever Ahead from THQ Nordic Showcase

More details about the first All Elite Wrestling console video game, AEW Fight Forever, were dropped via Fightful Select on Sunday ahead of this week’s THQ Nordic digital presentation where the game’s first trailer will be officially released. Pre-orders for the game appeared on Amazon last week and included information about the different game modes that will be offered. There was also a cover photo for the game featuring CM Punk, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Dr. Britt Baker and Jade Cargill. It was apparently designed by THQ Nordic and not the AEW graphics team – which is why the wrestlers themselves were apparently surprised to learn that they were chosen for the game’s cover.

The report also mentioned that the game’s story mode is completely different compared to other wrestling games and that some of the wrestlers who arrived at the company at the beginning of the year will not be on Tony Khan previously. In interviews, new characters will be added via DLC.

“I’m not going to put a date on it,” Khan said on The Corner Podcast in June. “But we put a lot of time and effort into developing this game. It’s going to be great.” “A lot of great stars in AEW are in it, a number of people who have been, even last year, are going to be in that game, a lot of big stars have come in in the last year, and we have added some stars along the way that I think are really important to get involved in. The game is for everyone.

“So we’ll have a great roster when we start, and then we’ll still be able to add people through the DLC as we go, but making sure we get the best roster possible when we start. We’ve signed a lot of wrestlers in the past year, especially in recent months.” We may not be able to get everyone involved, but folks who signed recently, we’re still trying to get some of the biggest names in because we think that’s the best chance the game will launch is to have some of the biggest stars in the wrestling world in the game, and we’ve already had Lots of them, and we’re adding more.”

As for the release date, there is no confirmation yet. But the SAP report said that “Yuke’s has pushed game production to its highest levels in the past several months” in order to add fixes and additions. Stay tuned for full coverage of the trailer release later this week.
