Elden Ring Update Released, Patch Notes Revealed

elden ring Developer FromSoftware has released a rather nasty update for the title, Patch 1.06, that includes a number of fixes and tweaks. Perhaps most importantly, the latest update includes a new option that increases the total number of regions where summoning signals can be seen and invasions can occur. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

The new patch also includes a way to enhance White Mask Varre’s mission without dealing with a multiplayer invasion, serious changes to Ash of War such as the Bloodhound Step, and much more. It remains to be seen how he manages all of this together, but it seems likely that intrepid players will find some kind of new exploit now that the Bloodhound Step is no longer strong.

Major changes included in the latest update

Additional Items

Added functionality to send paging signals to paging pools in multiple regions, including remote regions.

※ When sending a co-op tag to remote areas using this function, the recall of swimming pools in “Mohgoin Palace” will be excluded

The function has been added to conquer a larger area, including remote areas

Added a new way to progress in White Mask Varre missions other than participating in a multiplayer invasion by defeating a new NPC

Balance changes

The following modifications have been added to the Greatsword, Curved Greatsword, and Great Hammers:

Reducing the time it takes for rolling to become possible after an attack (jump attack, two-arm attack and installation attack not included)

Increased movement speed for powerful attack and charge attack (combined attacks not included)

Increase Guard Counter’s movement speed

Great axes attack speed increased and rollover time reduced to be possible after attack (jump attack, double attack, and attacks during installation not included)

Increased rolling distance when player has light equipment load.

Increased Cipher Pata “Unblockable Blade” weapon skill access chest

Increased range of Ash of War “Glintstone Pebble” and “Glintstone Dart” projectile range with reduced damage and amazing power

The travel distance and indomitable tires of Ash of War “Bloodhound Step” have been reduced while adding the changes below:

  • Decreased performance with continuous use
  • Increase travel distance when carrying light equipment

Shorten the activation interval when using the skill “Quick Move” in succession, increasing its ability to circle around the enemy when closed and adding the changes below:

Reduced damage and bleed buildup for the Corpse Rider weapon skill when hit by a blood attack. When you hit the blade, the damage is only reduced slightly

Decreased ability of sorcery-tracking “stars of ruin” to track a target

Bug fixes

Fixed a bug that caused some Lucerne attacks to not penetrate the enemy guard

Fixed a bug that made it difficult for a two-handed jumping attack using the “Canine Dog” to break the enemy’s stance

Fixed a bug that caused the effect of ‘Determination’ and ‘Royal Knight’s Determination’ to disappear after using the skill ‘Pari’ with a dagger

Fixed a bug when using Double Axe and Big Ax which caused extra effects from spells, weapon skills, and items not being applied correctly

Fixed a bug when using Halberd twice which made it difficult to resist an enemy attack after using the guard meter

Fixed a bug that caused the physical attack affinity of some weapons to differ from the affinity mentioned in the description.

Fixed a bug that caused the enemy to be more easily noticed when wearing the “Deathbed Dress”, even when crouching

Fixed a bug that caused the charge’s oscillator attack to damage an ally character when wearing the ‘Deathbed’.

Fixed a bug that caused HP to regenerate when switching your devices to a certain type of armor

Fixed a bug where the effect added to the weapon was lost when using Sleep Fog when the player received an attack

Fixed a bug that caused the playable character’s movement to become unstable when hitting certain enemies with the “Ghost Flame Ignition” skill

Fixed a bug that prevented the player from using the skill follow-up attack “The Queen’s Black Flame” when performing the skill with insufficient FP

Fixed a bug in the weapon skill “Zamor Ice Storm” which allowed the player to resist enemy attack more easily when using the skill with insufficient FP

Fixed a bug that caused the effect of spells and items added to the right armament to occur when using certain weapon skills with the left hand.

Fixed a bug that caused the FP consumption description of certain weapon skills to differ from the actual FP cost

Fixed a bug that allowed “Rock Blaster” to not consume any FP when used with a stick on the left hand and no weapon in the right hand

Fixed a bug that caused the charged version of “Black Flame Ritual” to consume the same amount of stamina as the normal version

Fixed a bug that caused the player to receive less HP recovery from spells and items other than ‘Flask of Crimson Tears’ when activating the ‘Malenia’s Great Rune’ effect

Fixed a bug that caused “Opaline Hardtear” to not boost physical damage

Fixed a bug that prevented the player from jumping into the air while riding under certain conditions

Fixed a bug that allowed jumping attack with massive weapons while riding on hit twice in a row

Fixed a bug that caused some tags to appear more than once in the summoning pool

Fixed a bug that caused the attack effect of some weapon skills to persist under certain conditions

Fixed a bug that sometimes caused a major performance issue in “Ordina, Liturgical Town” under certain conditions

Fixed a bug that prevented the player from picking up fallen Runes when dying under certain circumstances

Fixed a bug that allowed users to access a certain inaccessible area during multiplayer

Fixed a bug that caused the boundaries of the multiplayer area to differ from what was expected

Fixed a bug causing some enemies to have incorrect images and behaviors.

Fixed a bug that caused incorrect sounds to play under certain conditions.

Fixed a bug that caused some areas to be unable to move, resulting in death

Fixed a bug that caused some places on the map to contain incorrect visuals and result boxes.

Fixed a bug on some maps allowing users to access unexpected locations using certain actions.

Fixed a bug in the PC version that caused click input to occur when preparing Staves or Sacred Seals and turning Windows into active mode.

Added “Error” text to unauthorized items

※ In the 1.04 update file, we fixed a bug that allowed players to pass unauthorized items that could not be obtained in the game to other players

After this update file is distributed, possession and use of these unauthorized items will be subject to warning or penalty after a certain period of time.
