Why Locke & Key won’t be back for Season 4

While Locke & Key ends season three, this is not a case of Netflix canceling the show. Instead, the plan was always to end the series after three installments.

In a statement, Limit“Once we started working on the series, we felt that three seasons was the perfect length to bring the story of the Luke family and their adventures in the Keyhouse to a satisfying conclusion,” said Carlton Coss and Meredith Avril, co-stars of the show Luke and Key.

“As storytellers, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to tell our version of the incredible story of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez exactly the way we wanted it to. However, we reserve the magic keys for our personal use.”

Netflix appears for next viewing

While Locke & Key may be over, there are plenty of shows for superhero drama fans to turn to.

Weird things | Being the most popular Netflix series, most subscribers will likely know the adventures of Eleven and the crew of the Hawkins. But for new viewers, Stranger Things might be the perfect destination to move on to the next as it follows a group of kids as they encounter mysterious forces from another dimension, set against the backdrop of the ’80s.

Umbrella Academy | Based on Gerard’s Way of My Chemical Romance comedy series, the series tells the story of a group of young superhero siblings, all born at the exact same time, who have to deal with strange supernatural twists and turns.

Ragnarok | On the topic of superheroes, Norwegian series Ragnarok tells the story of Thor, but this story is very different from the Marvel hero as the series follows a seemingly ordinary teenager who reveals he is a secretly god of thunder.

sweet tooth | Another hit comedy series, Sweet Tooth follows a young half-human, half-deer boy through a dangerous world with a mean, moody, and exhausted protector of the world at his side.

Love, Death + Robots | This animated series has something for everyone as no two episodes are the same. Blending genres including sic-fi and fantasy to horror and comedy, the series explores different histories, the lives of robots in post-apocalyptic cities and, at its strangest, tracing supernatural yogurt in a scheme for world domination.

hypnotic | The latest new arrival to Netflix, The Sandman is based on the works of Neil Gaiman and is full of supernatural anomalies as it tells the story of a family of god-like beings who each control an aspect of life, or indeed death.

The devil | And finally, we finish with another creation by Neil Gaiman. The series began life on Fox before becoming a Netflix original as it follows Satan as he relinquishes his place in Hell to live on Earth and works as a consulting investigator in the bustle of Los Angeles.
