DC reveals new look at Red Hood: Outlaws Webtoon

DC has carved out a unique niche for itself on Webtoon, partnering with digital comics platform with series like Wayne Family Adventures, Vixen: New York City, And the Zatanna & The Ripper. Next on the agenda is Red Hood: Outlaws, We now have a fresh look at what the series will entail. In a new interview with CBRWriter Patrick R Young and artist Nico Bascuñán tease what fans can expect from the series, along with several new promotional images.

“We go by introducing people to outlaws,” Young says in the interview. “We are well aware that this is not a team that everyone generally knows about. They have their fans, but we are doing our job to introduce Red Hood, Artemis and Bizarro to the new generation. They are on a mission, and things are not going well. They are facing a challenge having to take on the role of the Justice League for a while. Niko and I are huge fans, and we made a huge list based on, “If this is the only DC Comic we’ve ever had to write, who would we want to use?” “And we use it. The sandbox is full of all our toys, and I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at how many different people show up. I’ll say, the character I haven’t been able to use is Scooby-Doo, so you probably won’t see it.”

in Red Hood: Outlaws, the outlaws try to go legitimate and fail spectacularly. The Justice League has issued a challenge to Red Hood, Artemis of Bana-Mighdall, and Bizarro, who must try to replace their two-footed counterparts as heroes the world doesn’t deserve and doesn’t need. In this original series, the Outlaws will battle some of DC’s biggest villains and superheroes – but their biggest battles are between them. Can this team continue? And can they find their own identities separate from Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman?

“We’re excited to continue expanding DC’s storytelling, with fun and off-continuity stories that showcase our characters in different worlds and genres, which any fan, whether new to DC or not, can dive into,” Marie Javins, editor-president of DC, said. In a statement.

“Our collaboration with DC continues to bring some of the most exciting characters from DC Pantheon to a new generation of comic fans, complete with new stories and new trailers for classic heroes,” said David Lee, Vice President of Content at WEBTOON. “Our work with DC has seen incredible support from fans and industry peers, and we can’t wait to share the latest series with our readers.”

Red Hood: Outlaws It will be launched on Webtoon on Sunday 14th August.
