Deshaun Watson’s first public apology didn’t convince fans at all.
On Friday, The Browns published an interview with Aditi Kinkhabwala and Deshaun Watson, in an effort to share an apology from Watson to women who accuse him of sexual assault.
“Look, I want to say I’m really sorry for all the women that affected this situation,” Watson told Kinkhabwala during the Browns Countdown show before the Jaguars game. “The decisions I have made in my life that have put me in this position I would definitely like to go back to, but I want to keep moving forward, growing, learning and showing that I am a real person and I am going to keep pushing forward.”
But it didn’t turn out the way the team and Watson might have hoped.

“That’s not even a real apology, who put this on? Do you think this would help, Jimmy?” Someone else wrote.
“Obvious PR move and anticipation of new judgment, he could point to this and say ‘Look, I have regrets.’ Disgusting but not surprising,” Another fan commented.
