SpongeBob and Patrick fall into the possession of the wish-granting “Tears of the Mermaid”, but are drifted away and their wishes “unlock the fabric of space and time” are torn apart. This will send our beloved heroes through different worlds, from prehistoric times to the Wild West, providing a strange new adventure for the duo. The game will feature original show voices re-enacting all of their roles, a number of iconic must-have costumes, and a host of new platforming mechanics that seem to evolve the formula from Battle for Bikini Bottom. As of now, there doesn’t seem to be a release date for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, but given the plethora of gameplay mechanics in the trailer, that’s likely to come sooner rather than later.
