New Ulm, Texas – Megan Cardet’s passion is peanuts. The two arrived seven years ago when Megan rescued Peanut, a young horse from a murder pen. Megan opened a Peanut Place about an hour from Houston as a safe haven for rescues like Peanuts. The non-profit organization conserves, recovers, and cares for horses and donkeys of all sizes.
Giving these cute creatures a life that was slipping. A Place for Peanuts is an experience for horses, giving hope to humans and horses alike. The farm is run by volunteers who socialize and socialize with their four-legged friends.
