Sasha Banks and Naomi attend the premiere of Marvel’s She-Hulk

It’s been nearly three months since Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their WWE titles on the office of Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis and exited the company. The team cited creative frustrations, as Naomi Banks was slated to get stuck in a women’s six-match to become the number one contender for the Raw women’s title. The two wanted their focus to be on the women’s tag division, for which they were champions, and saw that sending one of them to a solo program while stirring up discord within their team at the same time wouldn’t help them achieve that goal.

Banks and Naomi may be absent from WWE programming, but former WWE tag team champions haven’t kept a low profile. The two recently made an appearance at Chicago’s C2E2 Expo, where they signed autographs and posed for photos with fans by their real names, Mercedes Varnado and Trinity Fatu. Banks and Naomi continued their activity outside of WWE on Monday, appearing at Marvel Studios’ Strong woman Lunch occasion.

Despite the controversies that occurred earlier this year, it is more and more likely that Banks and Naomi will be back on WWE TV sooner rather than later. Recent reports have reported that Banks and Naomi have reached an “agreement in principle” with WWE, and chief creator Paul “Triple H” Levesque is delaying their comeback until fans have “something big to talk about every week for the next two weeks”.

There was no grumbling that either of the banks or Naomi appeared in Strong woman The series, but the former has something to do with Disney + already. Banks first appeared in acting The Mandalorian The second season, portrayed by Koska Reeves. She appeared in two episodes, including the epilogue which featured the return of Luke Skywalker.

“I’m not into next season,” Banks said in 2021, “but it would have been great to be in The Mandalorian on Star Wars. To be in a franchise so huge and so beloved, just look at the reception from fans outside the WWE Universe. It was the best feeling ever.” Viewing this show was overwhelming. I really felt like I was in a galaxy so far away. I felt like I was on a different planet.”
