Struijk says Leeds have a ‘good, all-round player’, only played once under Marsch!

Pascal Struijk has told LUTV that Luis Sinisterra is “one to watch out for” after the new Leeds United winger made his debut as a late substitute in the Yorkshire side’s draw with Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Sinisterra, 23, was signed from Feyenoord for £25m as Raphinha’s replacement. The Colombian football player was injured in the pre-season game against “Crystal Palace”.

Sinisterra missed his first appearance of the season, a 2-1 win over Wolves. On Saturday, he was fit enough to come off the bench, coming on after 84 minutes – after Southampton’s equalizer through Kyle Walker-Peters.

Leeds fans are still not seeing the full extent of their expensive summer signings. With Patrick Bamford out injured, he could be more involved against Chelsea – meaning Rodrigo could come out on top. Struijk is impressed.

“Quality Player” Struijk told LUTV, citing the Yorkshire Evening Post. “He’s good one-on-one, he dribbles, he attacks, he scores and he’s an all-round good player. He is someone to watch out for.”

Struijk: Leeds winger Sinisterra ‘must watch out’

Looking at Sinisterra’s form in terms of quality in Holland, Leeds have a real talent of their own. But it has been a frustrating start to life at Elland Road for the winger. He missed part of the preseason with an injury.

It was perhaps a surprise that Sinisterra didn’t get some minutes on Monday. The 21s drew 2-2 with Derby County, who had Adam Forshaw, Mateusz Klich, Sam Greenwood, Sonny Perkins and Darko Gyabi.

He could feature against Chelsea, but if Leeds are likely to be without Joe Gelhardt and Bamford, Dan James will play out wide and Rodrigo up top. Sinisterra may get more minutes off the bench than he did last Saturday.
