Kent are certainly good enough for the Premier League. He may have thought he should have scored more during his time at Rangers, averaging one goal every six games. But it is his assists that stand out.

Last season, he scored 3 goals in 46 games, but had 20 assists. Tottenham are struggling on four fronts and with Lucas Moura’s future in doubt, he would certainly be good cover for Son Heung-min.

Tottenham have Ivan Perisic who can guard Son. But the veteran Croatian star could be the first choice at left-back rather than Ryan Sessegnon. How much would it cost? Alex Rae is believed to be worth £25m.
