Los Angeles — Anne Hechey’s death was ruled an accident, primarily caused by smoke inhalation and fire after she was involved in a flaming car crash on August 5, the Los Angeles County coroner has determined.

The county released Heichi’s official cause of death on Wednesday, listing it as “inhalation and heat injuries,” while also noting that she had suffered a sternum fracture from blunt trauma.
