Hrithik Roshan reveals ‘Lord of the Rings’ connection to Krrish

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has revealed a direct connection between ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and his sci-fi franchise ‘Krrish’.

Roshan was one of the guests at the premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” in Mumbai on Thursday. The actor revealed that his father Rakesh Roshan, who directed “Koi… Mil Gaya” watched Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” in 2004.

“He was talking about the way they used this great cool idea and then they got this progress which was absolutely amazing [asked] Roshan said, “Why can’t we do that?”

Roshan revealed, “He said ‘Why can’t we take ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ – which is one of our previous films – ‘make progress and build on that’ – and that was the birth of ‘Krrish'”. There will be no ‘krrish’. “

“Krrish” was released in 2006, “Krrish 3” in 2013 and “Krrish 4” is understood to be in the pipeline.
