Lex Luthor star Jesse Eisenberg says he’d be ‘shocked’ if he appeared in another DC movie

Jesse Eisenberg doesn’t have much hope that he’ll return to the DC Films Universe as Lex Luthor — in his own words, he’d be shocked if he appeared in another DC movie. However, Eisenberg also let it be known that it would shock Sarah, “if that happened. Jesse Eisenberg played Lex Luthor in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice In 2016, the main villain manipulating Superman was Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck’s Batman in a brutal feud. Lex Eisenberg has also been featured in Justice League (2017) and Justice League Zack Snyder (2021), as he is set to take on a bigger role in the upcoming franchise.

However, with the era of DC Films directed by Zack Snyder ending, Jessie Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor seemed like a sure-fire addition to the list of cinematic universe items that would be left out of the franchise’s future. For his part, Jesse Eisenberg looks totally fine as DC continues:

“Listen, I’m not a fan of comic books,” Eisenberg said. Limit. “For me, it wasn’t playing a role that I had imagined since childhood. For me, it was a chance to play such a wonderful character that was written by this great writer, and I loved doing it. So playing it is fun, and not being turned on is not something I would be ashamed to tell my kids about, Because that’s not an important genre in my life, even though I loved doing that movie.”

What Eisenberg didn’t like was perhaps the backlash against Batman v Superman:

“I felt very personal about it,” he told a crowd at the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival. “Writer Chris Terrio is a very serious writer, and he’s a very emotional person. He’s thought a lot about my character, and I’ve thought a lot about my character too. I’ve talked with my acting coach a lot about the character, about his background with his father and his love life – and then people hate me.”

However, despite the turbulent experience playing Lex Luthor in a big DC movie, Jessie Eisenberg hasn’t distanced herself from comic book movies as a whole: “Because as an actor, you do all kinds of different things, and sometimes cool roles in really commercial things show up.” And sometimes terrible roles in independent films. ”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – Ultimate Edition is broadcasting on HBO Max.
