The Chiefs provide positive updates on Chris Jones and Mikol Hardman

Good news coming from the Chiefs’ training camp: Andy Reed says both Chris Jones and Mikol Hardman could play Saturday in their pre-season home opener.

The penultimate Wednesday’s bootcamp practice in St. Joseph, Missouri, was shallow for the Chiefs fans.

Stellar defensive tackle Chris Jones and wide receiver Mikol Hardman were both injured. Jones straightened his back, Hardman had a hip problem, but news broke quickly that every injury was minor. Today, better news came from Camp Chiefs.

It’s not known if head coach Andy Reed will send Jones and Hardman to play Saturday against the Washington captains, but nonetheless, it’s good that he thinks they could.

Jones, who is entering his third season $80 million extension for four years, will play a big role in the defense of the young presidents. His veteran experience and back-to-back All-Pro-nominated abilities for the second team will be a pillar of a young group looking to redefine themselves as a unit.

Having Jones alongside Frank Clark, and recently signed Carlos Dunlap will allow beginners like George Karlavtes and budding line workers Mike Dana, Joshua Kendo And the Calin Saunders To make a greater impact in rotation.

The Chiefs have announced that both Chris Jones and Mikol Hardman are in good health

Hardman Getting ready for a much bigger role In Chiefs Offense this season. With JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdez-Scantling coming to town in free agency, Hardman will finally have a chance to thrive in this scheme. He spent the first three years on his junior deal under Tyrick Hill, and is expected to take on a good deal of Hill’s previous responsibilities.

Losing either – not to mention both – Jones or Hardman would be a serious thorn in the side of the Chiefs who have set their sights on returning the Super Bowl in 2022 for the third time in four years.
