Data Leak Factors and MultiVersus The community has started to notice that any references to Lord of the Rings content have been stripped from the game files. Some suspected that this could mean that the content has been suspended for the time being, but there is now speculation that it has been removed entirely. Earlier this week, Embracer Group made a surprising announcement that it had acquired the intellectual property rights to The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. This was a somewhat surprising and historic move as well, given that Saul Zaentz had held the rights to these franchises since 1976. It was New Line Cinema, a company owned by Warner Bros. Rings and WB Films, one of the production companies for Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings, has continued to publish a number of property-based games.

This new acquisition is likely to create problems for the Warner Brothers’ control of Lord of the Rings IP. Of course, perhaps the two sides will reach a new agreement in the future. As of now, there’s no telling if Lord of the Rings content is coming or not MultiVersusBut the timing is definitely exciting.
