WWE commercial files for damage CTRL, may be the name of the new faction of Bayley, Dakota Kai and IU Sky

Looks like we might finally get the official name for the new Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai faction, which debuted earlier this year at WWE SummerSlam. This is courtesy of WWE’s latest trademark filing, although it also appears that Dakota Kai has been mentioned on social media as well. Recording from WWE (via fighting) for Damage CTRL, and applies to wrestling fairs, shows of professional wrestlers, and entertainment artists through broadcast, television, radio, and Internet media. Kai also referred to Damage Control in a recent tweet, so this may be the official name for WWE going forward.

Bayley, Kai, and Sky made an appearance during last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, and although they didn’t make it into the ring, they noticed a Toxic Attraction for the first time while Bayley gave her eternal nemesis Michael Cole a hard time. You can watch Kai’s tweet, referring to damage control, below. You can find the full trademark registration below as well.

The file reads “Mark For: DAMAGE CTRL Trademark registration is intended to cover categories of entertainment services, i.e. wrestling shows and shows by professional wrestlers and entertainers that are presented live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the Internet or commercials. The online service Providing wrestling news and information over a global computer network Providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through an online community portal Providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information Fan club services, which is the organization of sports events in the field of wrestling for members of a wrestling fan club; Organizing entertainment events Social for entertainment purposes for members of a wrestling fan club; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; electronic magazines, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.

We’ll have to wait and see if that’s the official name, though we’ll have to learn soon. The group was a key player on Raw and now SmackDown and continues to advance to the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Bayley is also in the mix against Bianca Belair, so we should get some actual group merchandise sooner rather than later, and you have to have a name first to make that happen.

What do you think of the group’s time in WWE so far? Tell us in the comments or as always you can talk about all things wrestling with me on Twitter @MattAguilarCB!
