black clover It’s now making its way through the final arc of the manga in general, and the latest chapter in the series has taken things to a higher level with a powerful new type of magic! Asta has been fighting all kinds of enemies throughout the series’ run so far, and each of them had a variety of potential magical items to draw from. As the series neared its climax, fans saw whole new realms of power being tapped as well as both elves and demons entered the human world. Now it looks like a higher tier of enemy magic is being introduced as well.
The final arc of the series really got off to a strong start as Lucius Zogratis quickly made his move against Asta and the Clover Kingdom. When their first battle really began, it was quickly revealed that no matter how strong Asta had managed to become since fighting with Lucifero, Lucius is much stronger. In fact, he had access to a mysterious new type of divine magic that he calls “soul magic”. This mystical power allows him to control the human psyche himself, thus Asta will need another method to defeat her.
Chapter 334 of black clover He sees Lucius trying to figure out the best way to deal with Asta’s anti-magic abilities because he’s the only one who can stand in the way of his plans. He is trying to achieve a kind of “world peace” that would involve destroying the world as it is and recreating it in a way that you directly control. Now we get to see how he’ll be able to do exactly that by revealing his Soul Magic. Stemming from the two spirits within his body, Lucius explains that he discovered how magic was able to purify the magic of demons.
With this new purgatory version of Satan’s power, Lucius makes it clear that he can give humans “holy power.” Unleashing an angelic form, Lucius explains that the root of his magic lies in the soul itself. Spirits are related to human life, the soul, and magic, and therefore his ability allows him to change the soul itself. We see this in action when he captures Sister Lily and transforms her into a terrifying angelic form, and now it remains to be seen if this new divine level of magic is something Asta can actually fight with.
