Three Arkansas police officers brutally beat an unarmed suspect after his arrest

TCrawford County Sheriffs from Arkansas and a Mulberry officer were filmed on video violently beating an already suspected suspected criminal on Sunday afternoon. THV11 reports that the video was taken in the parking lot of The Kountry Xpress in Mulberry County, Arkansas.

The suspect has already been frozen

The video was taken by social media user Naomi Ruth Johnson and published by The Southwest Times Record. In the photos, the three policemen can be seen above the suspect, already handcuffed, while excessively punching him in the face and hip, without the person in question being able to protect himself.

Arkansas State Police are already investigating

Arkansas State Police said they are already investigating the incident, in which the man was punched in the head and kneeled on his side continuously. At the end of the video, an officer pointed the person with the camera and instructed him to turn it off.

The man threatened the store staff

The incident occurred on Sunday when police received a report of a man threatening employees at a convenience store and then fleeing on a bicycle towards Mulberry.

The identity of the man who was beaten has not yet been revealed, but reports indicate that after he was beaten he was imprisoned and taken to a local hospital, with no reports on his condition.

Jimmy Damante said the man has been charged with several charges

Crawford County Sheriff Jamie Damante said the man faces charges of terrorist threat, resisting arrest, second-degree assault, break and entry, aggravated assault and possession of a criminal instrument.

The document added, “Referring to the video circulated on social media of two Crawford County officers, we have asked the Arkansas State Police to conduct the investigation and the officers have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. They are responsible for their actions and will take appropriate action in this matter.”
