How to Pre-Order Hogwarts Legacy – Including the Expensive Collector’s Edition

After being shrouded in mystery for so long, tangible details about the Hogwarts Legacy are finally starting to emerge. First, we got a lengthy presentation of the gameplay back in March, and earlier this week, we got an all-new Dark Arts-focused trailer.

The open-world RPG set in Harry Potter is scheduled for February 10, 2023 and is scheduled to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch release is also coming at an unspecified later date. Now that the highly anticipated game has a fixed release date, pre-order details for Hogwarts Legacy have also been recalled.

The game is set to release in multiple physical versions including the Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Deluxe Edition. Those who prefer to buy their games digitally will also have a choice between two versions. If you’d like to secure your copy as soon as possible, Hogwarts Legacy will be officially available for pre-order beginning Thursday, August 25 at 1 p.m. ET, but you can pre-purchase your copy of the Standard Edition from a few select retailers right now.

What’s in Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition?

Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition will be released across platforms at a cost of $80/£75 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, $70/£75 on PS4 and Xbox One and $70/£60 on PC and Nintendo Switch.

This premium version of Hogwarts Legacy includes 72-hour early access to the game, allowing you to start playing on February 7, 2023. Additionally, you also get a bunch of in-game goodies like the Dark Arts Pack. This DLC pack features an exclusive Dark Arts cosmetic set, a flying Thestral stand and access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena where you can test your mastery of the evil side of magic against waves of challenging enemies.

There will also be a Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition that costs $80 / £75 across platforms. It includes all the extras like its physical counterpart, along with a Dark Arts Garrison Hat and a multi-generation digital upgrade on PlayStation and Xbox. If you’re planning to map Hogwarts Legacy across console generations, this is the edition for you because, as previously revealed, the Standard Edition doesn’t come with a free upgrade.

What’s in Hogwarts Legacy Collector Edition?

Wannabe wizards might want to splurge on an expensive Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition. This high-end version of the game will cost $289 / £269 on PC and PS4 / Xbox One, and $300 / £279 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The Collectors Edition includes all of the Deluxe Edition content mentioned above, plus a life-size floating magic wand with a book base that will look great on your screen. It will also include a collectible steel case and an in-game Kelpie Robe to match your character. We expect this release to be relatively in short supply, so you’ll want to get your pre-order quickly as soon as it launches tomorrow.
