Jazz is so excited to make a deal

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhurst, the Utah Jazz want to trade Donovan Mitchell in the very near future.

With Kevin Durant choosing to stay with the Brooklyn Nets this season, the biggest commercial piece in the NBA offseason right now is undoubtedly the Utah Jazz Donovan Mitchell. After the team traded Rudy Gobert for the Minnesota Timberwolves, they opened business talks for Mitchell. There was a pause in the talks, but they have since been revived. So, when could the Mitchell deal actually happen?

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhurst, those he has spoken to across the league feel that the Jazz not only want to trade Mitchell before the regular season opener, but also before training camp. Windhurst said this in Podcast “Brian Windhurst and the Hope Collective”.

Jazz was motivated by a trade with Donovan Mitchell before training camp

“[Tim] McMahon, you said I thought last week that you thought jazz would make the Donovan Mitchell trade before [regular season] Windhurst said, H/R Yahoo Sports. “And it seems to me talking to people all over the league that the Jazz want to try to go sooner than that. They want to go before training camp.

“…I seem to be talking to people in the league that jazz is trying to use gas here. To try and enjoy the show, especially the juice of the show from New York Knicks.”

There have been updates recently regarding a possible trade for Mitchell.

The Jazz reportedly rejected a commercial offer from the New York Knicks that featured Evan Fournier, Obi Tobin, Payt and two unprotected first-round selections. That, and the Jazz were said to have required four unprotected picks in the first round.

One of the teams that was interested was out of competition for Mitchell. SNY’s Ian Begley reported on August 26 that the Cleveland Cavaliers had pulled out of Mitchell’s business negotiations. Additionally, Begley says the deal is for the Knicks to lose, as no one can match his offer, even if RJ Barrett isn’t included in the deal.

Preparation for the season officially begins in early October. Will Mitchell be in a new team? Or will he stay with jazz?
