The Orioles fan wasted no time in giving Adley Rutschman legendary status

Rookie Adley Rutshman appears to have cemented his status as a legend of the Baltimore Orioles already.

In 2019, the Baltimore Orioles used their first overall pick over Oregon catcher Adly Rochman. Nearly three years later, Rutschman’s work in the minor leagues has given the Orioles confidence in being called into the majors. So far, it was everything the team and fan base could have hoped for.

Outside Camden Yards, MASN’s Tim Leonard points out that someone appears to be referring to where the retired Rutschman monument will be located off the field. It is completed with the number 35 written on the bricks with an arrow pointing to the desired place.

Adley Rutschman is already considered an Orioles legend

Before arriving in Baltimore, Rutschman recorded a batting average of .304, .924 OPS, three home runs, and 10 RBI in 20 games in the minor leagues. Since receiving his call, Rutschman has shown why he is such a highly prestigious prospect and the future face of Baltimore for the franchise. Not only that, but he is a contender for the AL Rookie of the Year award.

Entering Baltimore’s August 26 game against the Houston Astros, Rutschman recorded an average hit of 0.256, 0.34 on percentage basis, 447 slowdowns, eight home runs, 25 RBI, and 68 hits through 76 games.

The Orioles have been ahead since all 30 teams returned from the All-Star break. As of August 26 (before game time against the Astros), the Oriole was above 0.500 and just 2.5 games behind the Seattle Mariners for Wildcard’s last place in the Middle East.

Rochman has impressed those in Baltimore in only a short period of time. There is no doubt that Orioles fans are excited about the future of Rochmans and Orioles.
