Principal photography is officially underway for the sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong, with Helmer Adam Wingard now sharing the first video from the production set in Australia. In a post on the film’s official TikTok account, Wingard walks to a sound stage when he is interrupted by his namesake kaiju camera, shaking, shaking and mimicking a shivering floor.
“Oh, talent here,” Wingard jokes, rushing to the stage area.

Not much is known about the film, although Kong is fully expected to take center stage in a battle against more Titans. It’s the fifth MonsterVerse movie behind it Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of Monsters, And the Godzilla vs. Kong.
“I think Godzilla vs. Kong is the first time we’ve really been able to get full sequences where the movie leaves the humans and stays with the monsters, just like any other character,” Wingard said in a previous interview with EW. “This is a huge breakthrough from a visual effects perspective and even from a story perspective. If there’s another MonsterVerse movie out there that, in my opinion, should be the first full-length monster movie. I’d say, 30 percent of humans, and the rest are monsters, a formula for what a lot of these are.” Movies in general. I think people are ready for that.”

In addition to another MonsterVerse flick, work is also underway on a streaming series for AppleTV+.
According to the plot summary shared by AppleTV+ (As spotted by SciFi Japan), the new MonsterVerse TV series is described as such, “Following the resounding battle between Godzilla and Titans that devastated San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover their buried secrets and legacy and connect them with the secret organization known as the Monarch.” As it appears from the summary, the series will focus on the human side of the equation.
