Magic: The Gathering Launches the next big story arc alongside its next expansion set, Dominaria United. The story of the group begins the second invasion of Magic: The GatheringThe original house plane by the Pyrexians. Wizards of the Coast revealed the story behind the deck of cards with short fictional pieces released on Magic: The Gathering website. Previous inspections of the group revealed that sleepy Phyrexian agents had infiltrated the Dominican Alliance. in United DominariaThe Phyrexians are once again invading Dominaria and seem to have a vested interest in capturing the Karn, the jetwalker golem, and destroying the Golgothian Sylex, an artifact with great destructive abilities. Gaia Ballard is a native of Dominaria, and was born there during the Ice Age.
