Top Gun: Maverick’s Cast shares their favorite memories of working with Tom Cruise in Part Two

Tom Cruise has been a heavyweight in Hollywood for nearly four decades now, starting with early work as strangers And the money color To his continuing career as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible Movies. Over the past several months, Cruz has been impressive on the big screen with his revenge on Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick, the actor’s film lit up green only by calling Paramount Pictures and telling the studio he was doing it. Outside the return of Val Kilmer as Tom “Snowman” Kazansky, dissidentThe cast was made up of new faces, and I had the pleasure of learning from three of the cast about their favorite memories of working with the icon in the sequel.

Top Gun: Maverick I headed to digital platforms recently, and to celebrate, I spoke with Charles Parnell, who plays RADM Solomon “Warlock” Bates, the commander of the Naval Aviation Combat Development Center and someone who goes back to back with Pete Mitchell. Parnell chose to remember the first time he met Tom Cruise, and began with the following:

There are a lot of good memories while working with Tom Cruise. The first thing that comes to mind is my first day. It’s kind of encapsulating it. So my first day was a speech by Warlock to introduce Maverick to freshmen, and [Cruise] He wasn’t supposed to be there that day. I give the speech a few times in front of the camera, we do some shots, and everyone is used to relaxing after I’m done because we’re going to cut it out there and film it another day. I’m about to go again, I see some activity behind a curtain, and he’s getting dressed. And they’re like, “Do it this time, he’s already coming.” The other actors didn’t know, so I introduced him. Now keep in mind, I didn’t meet him because I missed reading the schedule because I was working, so this was my day to meet him. I thought I’d meet him in a few days, but he was there and we didn’t say hi.
