Bend shooting leaves 2 dead in Oregon grocery store; suspect found deceased!

Bend, raw – A person walked into a grocery store in Bend, Oregon, on Sunday evening and shot two people dead, authorities said.

Bund police said in a statement that the person believed to be the shooter was found dead inside the Safeway store.

Police responded to multiple 911 calls at the Forum Shopping Center in downtown Oregon at approximately 7:04 p.m.

At least one shooter was shooting in the parking lot, Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz said during a news conference on Sunday night.

He said that the shooter then entered Safeway and shot someone inside the entrance. This person was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The chief said the shooter continued to shoot inside the store, killing another person.

Krantz said police entered the supermarket “still hearing gunshots”. They fired no shots, he said, adding that they found an AR-15 and another rifle “in close proximity” to the deceased shooter.

Krantz did not identify the shooter or the victims. He said several agencies are working together on the investigation.

Taroli told the newspaper she took her gun from her bag. Taroli said the staff were yelling “Go, go, go!” while trying to help people escape.

Josh Capa, another shopper at the store, told KTVZ that he was with his four children when he heard multiple shots.

“I immediately turned to my children and said, ‘Run! “People were screaming,” Kappa told the newspaper. “It was a terrible experience.”
