Burglary suspect Andra Singleton barricaded himself in 13-year-old’s room and pulled her hair, Harris County Pct. 4 deputies say!

Harris County, Texas (KTRK) – Burglary suspect accused of barricading himself inside a 13-year-old girl’s room and pulling her hair while she sleeps has been arrested, Harris County Pct. 4 deputies said.

The suspect, who identified deputies as Andra Singleton, broke into a house in the 4100 block of Cypress Lake Circle at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Representatives said Singleton succeeded in breaking through the door using chemical accelerators to burn through the back door.

Once inside, deputies said Singleton had holed up in the teenage girl’s room. Officials said that while he was there, Singleton searched her things and pulled her hair while she slept.

This caused the 13-year-old to wake up and scream, prompting her parents to call the authorities.

like pct. 4 deputies arrived, who said they saw Singleton jump out of the teen’s bedroom window, located on the second floor, and tried to escape.

Singleton was eventually arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Records say the 33-year-old is charged with burglary with intent to commit another felony and two counts of arson – intentionally damaging my residence.

His bond and his appearance in court have not yet been determined.

At the time of the alleged incident, Singleton was out on bail for aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal trespass on a residence.
