Bachelorette 2022 recap: Nate addresses internet rumors on ‘The Men Tell All’!

This week’s episode of “The Bachelorette” starts where we left off with another date his hometown of Salem, MA with Avene and Rachel.

Avene’s hometown date with Rachel

Rachel told Avene that she was too nervous to meet his parents because they didn’t approve of the last two girlfriends he brought home. He assures her that she has nothing to worry about.

Before meeting the Avene family, the couple first visit a magic shop (or should I say, “Schwab” as the local owner calls him) and meet Lorelei, the self-proclaimed “Love Witch.” She performs a love spell and tells Rachel and Aven to follow their hearts (well, actually, “hate”).

After some spooky spells, Rachel meets Avene’s mother, Don, and his father, Arthur, and tells them about how she immediately came into contact with Avene. Arthur is skeptical and asks how this kind of relationship on a TV show might fit into the real world.

Although initially skeptical, Rachel beat Aven’s parents. His father says she is “hunting” and that he is welcome in the family. After meeting the parents, Aven tells Rachel that he is falling in love with her. She is delighted, and although she doesn’t tell him, she tells the audience that she thinks she’s falling in love with him too.

The movie “Men Tell Everything” begins

Jesse opens the “The Men Tell All” section of the episode by telling us that although they won’t be broadcasting the rose ceremony, Gabe and Rachel gave roses to all the remaining men. This means that Jason, Johnny, and Eric will move into a fantasy suite week with Gabe, and Zack, Tino, and Aven will move in with Rachel.

Next we introduce the men seated on stage including Ruby (remember? The Wizard?) who now has platinum blonde hair. See a highlight reel on all the drama of the season like Chris gets the boot early And Hayden tells Gabe that she was “Rough around the edges.” Chris and Hayden weren’t there to fend for themselves, so we’re left wondering what side of the story they might be on.

Logan takes the hot seat

At least one controversial contestant has appeared: Logan. Upon taking the hot seat on the stage, he defends his decision to switch from Team Rachel to Team Gaby. He says he was constantly struggling between not wanting to make the two women’s journey difficult but at the same time needing to follow his heart. As you can imagine, the other guys had a few choice words to say about it.

Nate tackles rumors circulating on social media

After that, Nate goes up to the stage and into the hot seat. He relives the emotionality of watching Reel highlight him and his breakup with Gabe saying it was one of the hardest goodbyes he’s ever had to make.

He addresses internet rumors about his past relationships. One of the rumors was about how he kept his daughter a secret while dating someone for quite some time. He says that he did not involve his daughter in order to protect her because he did not want to introduce anything into her life that might cause instability.

Gabe and Rachel face the guys

Ladies coming to face all the men who refused. Mario in particular felt that Gabe had “mistaken him” by sending him home while allowing Logan to stay.

Shocked Rachel addresses as Jordan F. home on their first one-on-one date. She says she didn’t want anyone to feel like they were addicted to being along and eventually followed her heart.

After a very serious discussion between the ladies and the guys, we got some geeks out with everyone’s favorite part: blunders! The hoax continues and meatballs spill sauce all over his body…repeatedly.

We get a sneak peek at the rest of the season which is sure to be the most dramatic finale in The Bachelorette history. Don’t miss it all as the drama continues next Monday on ABC.
