Netflix confirms a big time jump for the final season of manifesto

This November, existing It’s finally back in the long-awaited TV, but it comes with a huge time leap. The hit mystery series was canceled by NBC after its third season and quickly became a streaming juggernaut for Netflix, leading to the streaming service’s selection of a 20-episode final season. The first 10 episodes of that final season arrive on November 10th, and will begin two years after the end of Season 3.

Netflix recently published an article on existingThe highly anticipated return of the show, including interviews with the show’s stars and creator. In the post, it was confirmed that there will be a two-year leap to start the new season.

Series creator Jeff Rick originally planned existing To tell her story over six seasons. The series will only have four episodes, but the last 20 episodes on Netflix will be enough to finish the story and solve all the problems.

“The end game will not change at all,” Rayk said. EW last year. “For those of you who have been following this story through June and July, they will remember that in the first weeks after cancellation I was hoping someone would come forward and let us make something as humble as a two-hour movie.”

“It could have been stressful and wouldn’t be perfect, but I was going to find my way through it,” the creator continued. “Considering that I had to do a thought exercise this summer on how to get to the end of the original game in two episodes, six episodes, or nine episodes, I feel like it’s embarrassing to get rich to have 20 episodes to tell the rest of the story. So yeah, I’ve always talked About three more seasons – and part of it was chronological, because my goal was always to get to the end of the series in real time according to five and a half years The Passengers came back – and that might have to be adjusted somewhat depending on how those episodes are published. I’m pretty sure 20 episodes gives me enough time to tell the whole story as I’ve always intended it. When I do that. We’ve talked in the past about having a roadmap to the end of the series, which doesn’t mean I have a roadmap for each episode. I have a roadmap with a series of The twists and turns and flags in the sand that we’ll eventually hit tell the core stories in our mythology and within the drama of our relationship. So it wouldn’t be particularly difficult to overlay the same exact roadmap over 20 episodes. It would be quite organic.”
