The Last of Us Part I Firefly is restocked this week – here’s how to get yours

The Last of Us Part I is one of the most awaited PS5 games of the year, and it looks like the Firefly deluxe edition will be a highly desirable item for collectors.

Unfortunately, when The Last of Us Part I Firefly edition went on sale earlier this summer, it sold out within minutes. The list quickly appeared on various resale sites, and like the PS5 restock before it, everyone assumed the $99 collector’s edition would become another gaming item that spoils distributors for everyone.

Thankfully, developer Naughty Dog has heard the cries of The Last of Us enthusiastic fan base and confirmed that they will be restocking the Firefly edition to celebrate the games’ release later this week. Take that bat!

At 12 a.m. ET on Friday, September 2 (9 p.m. PT on Thursday, September 1), the final version of the first part of the Firefly Edition will be restocked exclusively at Playstation Direct (Opens in a new tab). We expect this new set of Firefly releases to sell out very quickly.

The Last of Us Part I Firefly Edition retails for $99 and comes with the full game along with a bunch of extra goodies. For starters, the premium edition includes a gorgeous steel book case that features artwork by Joel and Ellie. It also includes editions one through four of The Last of Us American Dreams, a series of prequel comic books about Ellie and her boyfriend, Riley. In addition, for this edition, each release was given a new hardcover exclusive to the Firefly Edition.

Besides these physical additions, The Last of Us Part I Firefly Edition also includes a host of digital unlocks. You get six weapon skins: two for the 9mm pistol, two for the rifle and two for the Eli bow. You can also get a bunch of combat boosts and unlocks early in the game, which will make some of the difficulties encountered by early game enemies very challenging.

The Last of Us Part I is an A-Z remake of the critically acclaimed 2013 PS3 title from Naughty Dog. It features the same story and gameplay as the original game but with a complete graphic overhaul and enhanced performance. It’s set to launch on PS5 on Friday, September 2, with a PC version that will follow at a future date that is currently uncertain.
