Harris County, Texas (KTRK) – Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said a motorcyclist who was left fighting for his life after a crash has died and the alleged driver involved in the crash has been arrested.

The latest update comes more than a week after the incident, after his mother asked for answers.
Surveillance video captured the moments after a speeding car collided with a favela Escobedo motorcycle. As the cars passed quickly, sparks were seen along the shoulder of the favela Escobedo motorcycle as it skidded to a stop.
But the suspect did not stop.
As a result of the accident, Escobedo’s favela suffered organ damage, broken bones, as well as brain swelling. Gonzalez said Favela Escobedo, the father of a two-year-old boy, died of his injuries on August 25.
The investigation is still ongoing.
