Brick Basinger on how the death of a spoiler affects Kourtney

Stargirl in the capital His third season kicked off Wednesday night with fanfare — literally. The season premiere, “Frenemies – Chapter 1: The Murder” saw death come to Blue Valley and left JSA with a huge mystery to be solved when a person was killed in cold blood and another person they knew was placed in a compromising position as a result. Death Makes It Good that series star Brick Basinger previously teased Season 3 being a murder mystery in terms of subject matter, and in a recent interview ComicBook.comBasinger explained how the killing that started the season changes things for Kourtney moving forward.

warning! movie premiere wings Stargirl in the capital“Frenemies – Chapter 1: Murder”, after this point.

The season premiere saw Courtney in a position to give old opponents the advantage of the doubt and, as a result, a second chance. Cindy Burman/Shiv (Meg DeLacy) is now a member of the JSA, the Crocks lives next door to the Whitmore/Dugan family, and even Stephen Sharpe/The Gambler (Eric Goins) is given some blessing when he returns to town trying to turn a new page as he searches for his missing daughter since Long time, Becky. But at the end of the episode, The Gambler is dead, and Cindy is standing over his body with a smoke gun, literally. Basinger tells us he changes everything for Kourtney.

“It kind of takes back everything Kourtney was fighting for,” Basinger said. “She’s been struggling with the idea that people can change and so when Cindy is seen there and it looks like she was the one who killed the gambler, she looks guilty. So, of course, that puts Kourtney in a really tough spot between her team and her family.”

Basinger also said that Season 3 will be emotional for Kourtney because of where she wants to put her trust.

“There’s a lot of push and pull, even when it comes to Cindy, she wants to trust her, but there are some red flags. So, she feels pressure because she might be wrong,” Basinger said. “Then with a gambler, the same, she wants to trust his words are honest, but she has a history with her dad who wasn’t good and who wasn’t honest. Then she looked at Cameron, like Camney’s relationship, she wants to tell him the truth, but she feels she can’t That and there are those who tell her she can’t. And so, there is so much push and pull that she has to contend with. So many obstacles that she can’t help but become emotional.”

Those sentiments are likely to rise as the season progresses. Next week’s episode will see the focus begin to focus on the suspects in The Gambler’s murder – as well as some Starman concerns, too. You can find a summary of that episode here.
