Why is Hawk the obvious leader?

After DC’s Suicide Squad became a household name thanks to a couple of blockbuster movies, Marvel Studios will soon be releasing their own movie team made up of villains. Come 2024, Marvel’s Lightning It’ll hit theaters, giving fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe one of the franchise’s most unique visuals yet. While most can guess the team’s roster – from Jelena Belova (Florence Pugh) to Red Guardian (David Harbor) and Jost (Hannah John Kamen) – it’s not yet clear who will lead the team. our thoughts? Make it Clint Barton.

Barton (Jeremy Renner)’s story came complete with his Ronin suit burning at the end of Hook, and Belova failing to kill him as the two ended up losing Natasha Romanoff to Scarlett Johansson. Now, Barton will likely deal with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and face the consequences of his actions as a ronin on a legal basis. What better way than to have him lead this team of misfits?

He’s still one of the few Avengers members to survive, which means he has the most “superhero” experience of anyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Furhtermore, Renner is a name that will definitely be a box office pull for a new MCU franchise, top billing and all.

Moreover, Marvel Comics has just released the first version to a new version Lightning Series from Game Zub and Sean Isaacs. The leader in the new race? You guessed it, Clint Barton.

While others might think a character like Abomination (Tim Roth) could be a team leader, the events of the She-Hulk have shown us that the gamma-fed monster has left its sinister days — and someone like Daniel Brühl’s Baron Zemo is potentially a huge risk. In-universe, Barton is a safe choice and there are plenty of reasons why the character should return to the franchise.

Lightning It is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2024.
