Release date and time of episode 3 of House of the Dragon
House of the Dragon’s third episode airs Sunday, September 4 at 9 PM ET on HBO and HBO Max (Opens in a new tab).
The third episode of House of the Dragon titled “Second of His Name” should continue to move the chess pieces in this Game of Thrones. Young Rhaenyra Targaryen (Milly Alcock) may have been named heir to her father King Viserys (Paddy Considine), but her status may change after his decision to remarry.
His second wife, Aliscent Hightower (Emily Carey), will likely give him more children — and possibly the son he craves. It is clear that many princes of Westeros would prefer a male heir. We will not get past the devious hand of King Otto Hightower (Rhys Evans) to pressure his grandson to sit on the Iron Throne.
Meanwhile, Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) teams up with Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint) to take out the Crabfeeder, who is wreaking havoc on the Stepstones.

Cast Dragon House and Characters
The crew of The House of Dragon is a large group, including:
Paddy Considine as King Viserys I: Described as “chosen by the princes of Westeros to succeed the ancient king, Jaehaerys Targaryen, in the great council of Harrenhal. A gentle, kind, and respectful man, Viserys would only wish to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy. But good men do not necessarily make great kings.” “.
Millie Alcock (later Emma Darcy) as Princess Rhinera Targaryen“The King’s firstborn child, she is of pure Valerian blood, and she is a dragon rider. Many would say that Rhinera was born with everything… but she was not born a man.”
Matt Smith as Demon Prince Targaryenwho is described as “King Viserys’ younger brother and heir to the throne. A peerless warrior and dragon driver, Satan possesses the true blood of a dragon. But it is said that whenever a Targaryen is born, the gods throw a coin into the air…”
Emily Curry (later Olivia Cooke) as Aliscent Hightowershe is “the daughter of Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, and the most beautiful woman of the Seven Kingdoms. She was brought up in the Red Cape, close to the King and his inner circle; she possesses court grace and strong political acumen.”
Rhys Evans as Otto HightowerAs the King’s Hand, the Hightower faithfully protects the throne, and King’s brother Daemon (Matt Smith) sees the Monash’s greatest threat.
Steve Toussaint as Lord Corliss Philaerion aka “The Serpent” Who will be the master of the house Philaerion. Their bloodline is as old as the House Targaryen, and Velaryon has earned his nickname for being “the most famous marine adventurer in Westeros history.”
Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Velaryona dragonrider who is the wife of lord corlis philarion. She didn’t get the throne in the Great Council because – to your surprise – “the kingdom preferred its cousin, Viserys, just because he was a male.”
Fabian Frankl as Sir Creston Cole, member of King Viserys I Targaryen’s Kingsguard. on him Articles (Opens in a new tab)George RR Martin writes that Sir Creston is “the born son of Agent Lord Blackhaven. He has no right to lands or titles, all he has is his honor and skill of sword and spear. He is a defiant, a hero, greeted by the commons, beloved by the ladies. He is Lover (or is he?), seducer (or is he?), traitor (or is he?), heartbreaker and maker of kings…Welcome to Westeros, Fabian. And keep this sword sharp.”
Sonoya Mizuno as Misaria: a former prostitute who had nothing on her arrival in Westeros. Now, having “sold out more times than you can remember,” she’s already earned the trust of Daemon, the heir to the throne.
And after being seen in leaked photos, actor Graham McTavish confirmed he’s part of the House of the Dragon cast.
“I’m really having a lot of fun,” he told British fashion magazine Stylist. We have just started. It’s a pretty big project, so we’ll get to know each other. They are lovable people. It’s great, but I can’t tell you much. I can’t really tell you anything about the story! But it does involve a lot of dragons.”
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to include Outlander’s Mactavish co-star, Sam Heughan. In the same interview, Heughan joked, “Do I exist [House of the Dragon]? He also revealed that he has auditioned for Game of Thrones seven times, for roles including Renly Baratheon and Ser Loras Tyrell.
Dragon House Conspiracy
House of the Dragon is set several hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones. It is based on Martin’s novel “Fire and Blood”, which chronicles the rule of the Targaryens from the beginning. The story begins with Aegon I Targaryen’s conquest of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
House of the Dragon will focus on a specific part of Targaryen history: The Dance of Dragons. It was a bloody and brutal civil war in Targaryen that took place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. (This is just over a century after the first Aegon invasion.)
Star Olivia Cooke revealed that House of the Dragon will not have the gratuitous graphic violence against women that was common on Thrones. I told telegraph (Opens in a new tab) That “I wouldn’t feel comfortable being a part of anything that involved horrible graphic violence towards women for no reason at all, just because they wanted it to be puzzling in a way that would appeal to viewers.”
The death of King Viserys I caused a succession conflict between his daughter from his first marriage, Princess Rhaenyra, and his son from his second marriage, Aegon II. Princess Shireen Baratheon told this story in the fifth season episode of Game of Thrones.
She reminded her father, Stannis, “Brothers fought brothers, dragons fought dragons.” By the time it was over, thousands had died.”
As Shireen pointed out, the conflict affected the Targaryen family, with nearly all of their dragons dying in the war. The monsters remained extinct for a century and a half, until Daenerys Targaryen hatched her three dragons in Game of Thrones.
