Netflix needs to bring back JoJo’s Fridays for JoJo’s bizarre adventure

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has released its latest episode on Netflix, with Stone Ocean continuing to chronicle Jolyne Cujoh’s journey, however, fans may not know that’s the case. While Hirohiko Araki fans have taken it upon themselves to help promote the new episode, the enthusiasm from previous seasons is missing when it comes to the final season. Instead of releasing twelve to thirteen episodes at once, it’s time for the streaming service to return to the tradition experienced in “JoJo Fridays.”

While some fans might be surprised if they don’t get the chance to enjoy Jolyne’s story across multiple episodes released simultaneously, something is lost when it comes to the community, in this case JoJo fans absorbing episodes at a slower pace and discussing the events that happened in one episode. With the latest release of episodes, some major things that might get lost in the shuffle happen because a lot of things happen when all is said and done. In these episodes alone, the main protagonist dies, Julie finally fights against Pucci, Annase reveals his abilities and ingenuity, and these big events hardly scratch the surface.

With the fifth line of the adapted anime, Golden Wind, released weekly during its run, the story of Giorno and Passione mafia had the opportunity to enhance the discussion, allowing viewers to absorb what happened in each episode. Netflix doesn’t binge on every anime, with Uncle From Another World for example releasing new episodes as they come online, and it would help Stone Ocean stand out if it used a similar release method.

There is only one Stone Ocean part left, although this has yet to be confirmed outside of the physical Blu-ray set that was marketed in Japan, so there is still time for JoJo Fridays to return to the Jolyne story. Certainly, if Netflix advances with David Production for future seasons, including the likes of Steelball Run and JoJolion, then releasing installments on a weekly basis should be a must.
