According to a news item published by the Daily Trust Online yesterday evening, it was reported that Frank Shibo, who happened to be a senior HDP member, had revealed what would happen if Haji Atiku Abubakar and the governor were. Nisom and Ike reconcile with each other or not.
Remember that last Thursday, Governor Nisom Waik threatened to help the HDP lose the 2023 presidential election, if Senator Urasia Ayew refused to resign as the party’s national head.
While Shaibu reacted to this during an interview on ARISE TV, he said, “Most importantly, the PDP is our party and Governor Wike is one of us but whether the rooster crows or not, the sun will still shine. Atiku will be president in 2023.”
Moreover, he said that the HDP is not a pressure group but a political party and therefore, no one’s interest can influence the party’s decision or the outcome of the upcoming presidential election. He said he knew Atiku Abubakar would win the next election whether he reconciled with Wike or not.
