Deadly shooting: Nathan Bryan Miller charged with capital murder for allegedly killing Carlos Baltizar Canales, officials say!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Officials say Nathan Bryan Miller is charged with capital murder for allegedly shooting two people for practicing witchcraft.

The video shown above is from the original report.

Two people were killed and a third person was hospitalized during a shooting in northwest Houston Saturday morning, police said.

At about 8:10 a.m., Houston Police Department officers said they received a call from a passerby who allegedly saw a man forcefully brandishing a gun near Exxon in the 1300 block of Nieman Lane.

Upon arrival, HPD’s Lt. Mark Contreras said Miller “stated that he killed a few people,” including his cousin.

Within walking distance of where Miller was seen, officers said they found two men and a woman with bullet wounds.

Police said the woman and one of the men died of their injuries.

On Sunday, authorities identified one of the victims allegedly killed by Miller, Carlos Baltizar Canales.

Contreras said the other man, who was shot, was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

When police arrested Miller, investigators said he appeared to be mentally unstable the day of the shooting.

On Sunday, Miller was not present in court and authorities were ordered to undergo a mental evaluation.

Officials said Miller was denied bonds for shooting multiple people and being a danger to society.
