Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Houston Transtar cameras showed that a fatal accident led to a massive closure of the Bay Highway near Monroe on Sunday morning.

The accident was reported at 7:12 a.m. on the 8300 block of I-45 in Howard, according to the Houston Police Department.
All major northbound lanes on I-45 near Howard Drive have been closed after two vehicle crashes, according to HPD.
Officials confirmed that at least one person was killed.
It is not immediately known when the lanes will reopen to normal traffic.
