Krispy Kreme launches a Churro-inspired donut

Move over, pumpkin spice. Krispy Kreme just introduced a brand new donut flavor which is a big win for cinnamon and sugar lovers. On Monday, the donut chain launched a first-of-its-kind churro-inspired donut collection, aptly called the ChurrDough Collection. The new offering features three different types of churro-inspired donuts, giving fall snack lovers a unique alternative to all things pumpkin for a limited time.

The new ChurrDough range contains Cinnamon Dough, Sugar, ChurrDough Dough, Cake and Dulce De Leche ChurrDough. The three donuts are available in packages of three as well as individually. You can check out their descriptions for yourself below.

Cinnamon and sugar soupFresh shordough mixed with cinnamon sugar and topped with swirls of cinnamon cream and salted caramel chunks.

Cookies and Cream Chordoo: dough dipped in cinnamon sugar, decorated with rings of chocolate cream biscuits, topped with chocolate chip cookies and covered with chocolate icing.

Dulce de Lecce Churrdough: A fresh soup dipped in cinnamon sugar, topped with bits of cream cheese, topped with crackers and a drizzle of dulce de leche.

“If you love classic churros or original Glazed Donuts, you will love this light, airy, cinnamon, caramel, cream and sugar cookie we created,” Dave Skena, chief global branding officer at Krispy Cream, said.

The new ChurrDough Collection is now available at participating Krispy Kreme locations across the country, but for a limited time only. These churro-inspired desserts will only be available until September 18th. For other fall specials, if you’re a fan of pumpkin spice, Krispy Kreme has these now, too. Last month, Krispy Kreme debuted its new fall menu, which includes six spiced pumpkin donut drinks, including the new Pumpkin Spiced Latte Swirl Donut and Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee.
