Another New PlayStation 5 Console Announced – PS5 Special Gets an October Release Date | Games | entertainment

An all-new PlayStation 5 console launches just in time for Christmas. Just days after fans discovered a new, lighter PS5 variant, Sony has unveiled a new design. In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony previewed the PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection. As you can see from the images above and below, a camouflage color scheme is used on the console itself, as well as the PS5 DualSense controller and Pulse 3D wireless headset.

Sony explains further: “Add a new and unique touch to gameplay with the new Gray Camouflage collection coming to the PS5 accessory family.

Adding to the previously released galactic-inspired color scheme, the Gray Camouflage Collection features matching accessories with DualSense wireless controller and PS5 controller covers for both PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray drive and PS5 digital edition, and Pulse 3D wireless headset”.

According to Sony, pre-orders will begin on September 15, before the camo controller and DualSense controller launch in October. On the other hand, the Pulse 3D Wireless headset is launching in December.

Sony has also confirmed that a limited number of PlayStation Direct customers will be able to purchase the new products early.

If you want to get any of the products from the Gray Camouflage range, it is worth subscribing to PlayStation Direct website.

You can take a closer look at the new PlayStation 5 Gray Camouflage set below.

This news comes shortly after fans discovered a redesigned PS5, which weighs 600g less than the original model.

The digital-only console is also lighter than the original model, weighing in at 3.4kg – which is a 500g reduction.

The size difference for the new model isn’t enough to qualify the PS5 Slim’s status, but it’s certainly lighter than it was at launch.

Hopefully Sony will continue to reduce the volume even further, because the biggest problem with the PlayStation 5 is that during it Plays like a beauty, looks like a beast.

The release of the new model coincides with a sudden price increase for the PS5, which has already gone into effect in the UK.

In the UK, the PlayStation 5 console retails for £479.99 for the disc-based console, and £389.99 for the digital version.

Representing a £30 increase, Sony explained that the price increase was the result of “high global inflation rates, as well as adverse currency trends”.
