New leak shows Insta360 X3 camera with large touch screen

Insta360 is scheduled to announce a new product in a couple of days. Although there aren’t many hints on its website, a new leak has apparently revealed the details of the announcement. If the leak is accurate, Insta360 will announce a successor to the One X2 360 camera called the Insta360 X3.

Insta360 X3

according to WinFuture, The upcoming Insta360 X3 will feature almost the same design as its predecessor, but the design will look more streamlined. The main obvious difference is its large 2.29-inch vertical screen. Previous models opted for a much smaller circular screen compared to the new device. Despite this new look, it seems, the new model will still have a high recording resolution of 5.7 KB. But, there may be improvements when shooting with a single sensor, from 1440p to 4K resolution.

In addition, the source states that images can now be taken at a resolution of up to 72 megapixels, and time-lapses can be shot in 8K resolution. As for the other features, it looks like the Insta360 X3 will offer a similar feature to GoPro’s HindSight. The feature records continuously but only captures videos on the SD card when the shutter button is pressed. This allows users to never miss a moment no matter what happens. In addition, data transfer speeds should also be improved by up to 50 percent, thanks to improvements in Wi-Fi technology.

Unfortunately, most of the meat of this leak is in the images, as there are very few details about the actual specifications of the device. Once the details are revealed, it will be interesting to see how its latest cameras compare to other devices in its lineup. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long as the announcement is set for September 8th. Although there is no pricing for the US, the leak has stated that the price for the European market should come in at €539.99.
