Kajol star in “The Good Wife” based on Disney + Hotstar

Kajol, one of the best actors in India, is starring in the Disney + Hotstar series “The Good Wife – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka”, which is adapted from the CBS series of the same name. Disney has unveiled a first-look image of the show, which is now in production.

Translating the Hindi title to “The Good Wife – Love, Law and Deceit,” Kajol plays a housewife forced to return to work as a lawyer after her husband’s public scandal puts him behind bars. The series is directed by Suparn Verma (“The Family Man” Amazon Studios Series) and produced by Mumbai-based Banijay Asia.

Kajol has credits that include the romance “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, the melodrama “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…”, the romantic thriller “Fanaa”, the drama “My Name Is Khan”, and the action-comedy “Dilwale” in 2015. She pays tribute to A member of the Mukherjee family studded with actors, directors and producers, she has been married to Ajay Devgn for over twenty years.

She made her debut with the Netflix movie “Tribhanga” which was shown from 2021. It will mark Kajol’s first live broadcast. Palkar, Azmi. and Kunal Roy Kapoor.

“As a first step in my career, I will be taking on the role of a lawyer in my first ever soap opera, directed by the wonderful Subarn Verma,” Kajol said in a prepared statement.

The original series, The Good Wife, was created by CBS Studios, in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions. Executive producers who have worked on the show include Robert, Michelle King, Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Brooke Kennedy, Craig Turck, Leonard Dick, Ted Humphrey, and Keith Eisner. Coordination rights are distributed globally by Paramount Global Content Distribution. It is licensed in China, India, Japan, Latin America, the Middle East, Russia, Turkey and Vietnam.
