“The great thing the series gives us the opportunity to do is really dive into the characters more, and really explore their relationships with each other,” Smulders explained in an interview earlier this year. “It was really exciting filming these scenes with Sam, we weren’t just talking about ‘How are we going to get the thing to fix the thing? “And we are able to show the kind of their relationship that appears behind the scenes.”
