Animal Tribe Leader from Hexy Studio Uluk Live Now On Kickstarter

The latest game from Hexy Studio is titled Uluk, and the game is now live on Kickstarter. Uluk is a Eurogame that tasks you with leading your tribe of animals and managing their happiness as they hunt and collect resources to turn them into food, build landmarks, and take advantage of special locations within the village to prepare for the upcoming season and the challenges it brings. The campaign also includes the Uluk Wrath of the Gods Uluk Ancestral Spirits expansions, which add new types of cards to the mix. Uluk has already passed his target but still has 6 days left, so if you are interested in jumping into the new game, check out the full Kickstarter campaign here.

The game takes about 60 minutes to play and seats 1 to 4 players, and the basic set comes with 36 Triber Pawns divided into four different colors. If you support the All In group, you can also have an exclusive monument group included, although you can also add this group to any other pledge. You can also add expansions individually as well.

The game is divided into six seasons, which serve as rounds, and the season is divided into six phases. These stages are Errand stage, harvest stage, processing stage, feeding stage, environment stage and cleaning stage. You’ll place your Tribers on the main board for specific resources, and you can also send your Tribers to Monument build locations or hunting and gathering areas, as well as the village. You will then collect these resources during the harvest phase and place them on your clan board.

The processing phase allows you to process raw resources and turn them into food or toxins. There are different types of food that will make your sons happy, and poison will make your hunting more efficient. The feeding phase requires you to spend food to feed your clan and earn happiness points, and you can incur penalties if you don’t feed everyone. Successfully feeding everyone will also allow your Tribers to multiply, gaining more tribes for future seasons. The environment stage adjusts harvest levels, which can affect future seasons, and then in the cleanup stage you’ll build landmarks and prepare for the next season.

You can find the official description of Uluk below.

“The sages say that our world is the fruit of the sacred tree of Olok. No man has ever stepped on this magical land, and you are the leaders of the tribes of conscious animals that depend on hunting and gathering, gathering food, developing inventions, and erecting monuments in honor of the ancient gods for their spiritual needs. The winner of this competition will ensure the happiness and well-being of the members of their tribes and will be praised as the chief of all tribes!”
